‘WOW’ Alternative Furniture
The initial stage of a design project can be the hardest; lack of research
and a solid starting point can
hinder your thinking process and idea development leading to a project
that can become uninspiring
for the designer and lack conviction and enthusiasm. After a long summer
break this intensive 5
weeks project is designed to shape you back into your studies, from
initial research (i.e. *summer
project and prototype making) through to drawing up and detailing a
given design proposal, visiting
all aspects of the design process along the way
Bionic ladybug table
Below are the three views and axonometric drawings of the
furniture. The height of the table is 700mm, the width of the
table is 900mm, the diameter of the round table on the top of
the table is 315mm, and the bottom is 300mm,What I designed is a bionic table. This table is designed
in accordance with the appearance of the seven-star
ladybug, using bionic knowledge to complete the design.
The table top is like the wings of the ladybug, which is
movable and can be opened.

Rotatable function, the table is divided into two layers, the first layer is rotatable function, divided into two pieces, like wings, so that the whole table can
not only reduce the occupation of space, but also increase the customer experience. The desktop on the left is also designed for placing umbrellas. You can
see that the desktop is made of glass with round holes of different sizes for placing things.
